Day 1:

CUSCO – CITY TOUR (3,400 METERS – 11,154 FEET).

In the morning hours we will go to visit the ancient capital of the Inca empire and current archaeological capital of America; the city of Cusco that keeps within its walls and streets, features of a glorious past, the visit begins in the Cathedral, which is decorated inside with many altarpieces in gold leaf as well as its paintings that belong to the school Cusco, then they will continue through the Temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, where the remains of what was the temple of the sun, better known as Q’oricancha , are located .

Continuing with the visit, they will arrive at the archaeological sites, there they will visit the archaeological complexes of Qenqo , Tambomachay , Puca Pucara and the impressive Saqsayhuaman ; strategically built on a hill overlooking the city of Cusco. Its massive stone walls were amazingly carved and joined with precision. Some of these stones exceed 9 feet in height and weigh more than 100 tons.

Day 2

PISAQ SACRED VALLEY (3,346 M / 10,977 FEET) – OLLANTAYTAMBO (2,792 M / 9,160 FEET) – MACHUPICCHU VILLAGE (2,040 M / 6,692 FEET)

Today in the morning we will go to your hotel to start our excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will be able to appreciate different ecological levels to understand where and how the Andean man domesticated plants and animals to obtain an improvement in their production. such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, alpaca, llama, among others.

During our excursion we will be part of history in the different Archaeological Parks throughout this valley such as Pisaq , where they will also have free time to visit the picturesque craft market that contains very important artistic expressions such as textiles , goldsmithing, painting, silverware, among others, we will also take advantage of our stay in the sacred valley to enjoy a buffet lunch and finally we will arrive in Ollantaytambo where we will be able to visit the archaeological site and board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes.

Day 3

MACHUPICCHU (2,430 METERS / 7,972 FEET) – OLLANTAYTAMBO (2,792 METERS / 9,160 FEET) – CUSCO (3,400 METERS / 11,154 FEET)

Today we will leave the hotel in the morning towards the bus station where we will board the bus that will take us to the llacta of Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas”. This complex is considered a masterpiece of Inca architecture: a complete settlement with different neighborhoods, squares, streets, buildings, astronomical observatories and terraces, built in the midst of subtropical vegetation and rediscovered on July 24, 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham . After the guided tour and the respective photos of the memory, we will go down to Machupicchu Pueblo where we will have lunch and later we will board the return train to the town of Ollantaytambo where the transport that will take us to the imperial city of Cusco will wait for us. Night in Cuzco.

Day 4

VININCUNCA OR MOUNTAIN OF 7 COLORS (5200 METERS / 17060 FEET)

An unmissable adventure that is located among the main natural attractions, we will start with the pick-up from the hotel in Cusco heading south, during the last part of the trip we will pass by a beautiful stream, where we can enjoy beautiful landscapes and appreciate groups of South American camelids like llamas and alpacas.

Continuing with our journey, we will walk for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, to reach the main attraction of this experience, Vinincunca better recognized as The Rainbow Mountain (5,020 meters / 16,426 feet), you will have enough time to explore the area, take photos and enjoy the place and appreciate the majestic snowy “ Apu Ausangate ” (6,384 meters / 20,944 feet), which is the highest peak in this region. To then return to the city of Cusco.

Day 5

ROUTE OF THE SUN – CUSCO (3,400 METERS / 11,154 FEET) – LA RAYA (4,335 METERS / 14,222 FEET) – PUNO (3827 METERS / 12,555 FEET).

Very early in the morning we leave the city of Cusco towards the district of Andahuaylillas where the Church of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas is located, also known as the Sistine Chapel of America, then we will visit the archaeological site of Raqchi , where we can appreciate one of the most important enclosures built by the Incas called the temple of the god Wiracocha , then we will go to Sicuani where we will have a buffet lunch in a country restaurant.

In the afternoon we will be visiting La Raya located between the border of Cusco and Puno, finally, the Pucara Lithic Museum. Arrival to the city of Puno and transfer to the hotel.

Day 6

PUNO (3,827 METERS / 12,555 FEET) – UROS ISLANDS (3,810 METERS / 12,500 FEET) – AMANTANI (3,950 METERS / 12,959 FEET).

Today we will pass by your hotel in the morning to pick you up and head to the port where we will board the boats that will serve as transportation to the islands for approximately 20 to 30 minutes, to reach the floating islands of the Uros where we can visit and interact with the inhabitants of this place and learn a little more about their way of life.

Continuing with our trip, we will return to our boats to go to the Island of Amantani , where we will have an affectionate welcome from the inhabitants, and we will have a delicious lunch prepared by them, then we will be appointed families with whom we will have the great opportunity to share their experiences, sleep in their homes and in the afternoon we will take a short walk to the top of the island where we can see the Inca ceremonial temples of Pachamama and Pachatata , appreciate the beautiful landscape that surrounds it along with a spectacular view of Lake Titicaca and the magnificent sunset.

AMANTANI (3,950 METERS / 12,959 FEET) – TAQUILE (3,950 METERS / 12,959 FEET) – LIMA (2.87 METERS / 6 FEET).

Today you leave Amantaní and head to the island of Taquile , which is still covered by agricultural terraces. The island’s inhabitants speak Quechua and live according to ancient traditions, where land ownership is private but work is collective. About 300 people work in this way every day, alternately for themselves and for the community. In the upper part of the island you have a beautiful view of the lake, the bay of Puno, the Bolivian mountain range and the altiplano. In the afternoon, transfer to the port of Puno to transfer to the Juliaca airport and board our flight to the city of Lima.
